Ramya believes meaningful learning begins when children feel safe, understood, and encouraged to explore. Her approach brings together thoughtful guidance, creativity, stories, and hands-on discovery.
Our beginning
When Mommy Became a Teacher
Tickle Treetops Academy began with Ramya’s homeschooling journey—a chapter filled with stories, hands-on discoveries, creative projects, and the everyday joy of learning together.
Watching children grow in confidence inspired a bigger dream: to create a warm Family Home Based Child Care program where more children could ask questions, explore their interests, and discover what they are capable of.
Today, that vision supports children as curious thinkers, confident communicators, independent learners, and kind members of their community.

2011–2013
Lecturer
Ramya developed experience explaining ideas clearly, planning lessons, and supporting students as they built understanding.
2014–2017
Creative workshop leader
Through Ramya’s Craft World, she led art, baking, and clay-modeling workshops that helped learners build skills by making.
2019–2026
Homeschool educator
Seven years of planning lessons, adapting activities, and celebrating small discoveries deepened her understanding of how children learn at their own pace.

Ramya brings education, creativity, and home learning together at Tickle Treetops Academy in Mill Creek.

Ramya holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Diploma in Computer Science. Her technical background supports an interest in patterns, reasoning, and breaking ideas into manageable steps, while her creative experience helps children express ideas through art, stories, and hands-on discovery.
