HiCap stands for Highly Capable. School districts may use assessments such as CogAT and Iowa when identifying students who may benefit from advanced learning services.
HiCap-style assessments can introduce unfamiliar questions and thinking patterns. Guided practice helps children recognize those patterns, think independently, and approach new problems with greater comfort. Instruction is structured without placing unnecessary pressure on the child.

This option provides steady skill development and gradual preparation throughout the year. One-hour classes meet on weekday evenings, based on availability.
This focused program runs from September through the HiCap assessment period, providing structured preparation leading up to the test dates. Children attend either the Saturday or Sunday batch from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, depending on availability. The three-hour class includes a snack break, and children may bring a snack from home.
